Colours include blue, grey, white, green and dark grey.Kyanite is almost always found in metamorphic rocks, mica schists, gneisses, granulites and eclogites. It is less frequently found magmatic in pegmatites and granites and rarely found hydrothermal in quartz veins. It is accompanied with staurolite, andalusite, corundum, mica , garnet, tourmaline and quartz. Found in Brazil, Australia, India, USA and Switzerland.
