Rose Quartz is very rarely found in crystals, when found they are usually from the Jequitinhona Valley, Brazil. Rose quartz from Madagascar can produce a fine six-rayed asterism if the stones are correctly oriented and cut. The pink colours of rose quartz are caused by traces of manganese, iron or titanium.
