Scientific properties:
Lepidolite is Earth's most common lithium bearing mineral, its name is derived from two Greek words (lepidos- scale) and (lithos- stone) Although typically pale lilac, specimens can also be colourless, violet, pale yellow or grey. Lepidolite can be also be found as botryoidal and fine to course grained, interlocking plates. It's perfect cleavage produces thin, flexible sheets, it is commonly found with other lithium minerals such as beryl and topaz.
