It is soluble in nitric acid and upon fracturing produces a sulphuric odour. often associated with chalcopyrite, sphalerite, galena, quartz and calcite. It can be found in Peru, Bolivia, Mexico, Romania, Sweden, Colorado, Spain and Australia.
