Charoite is a rare mineral found in eastern Russia and was named after the Chara river which drains into the geographic area where it's found. Charoite is a stunning purple to violet colour with banding, swirls and a pearly lustre. When polished into cabochons or other shapes its fresh vibrant colour and patterning is truly unique and one of a kind.
