Citrine is part of the quartz family and most products on the market are heat treated through burning smokey quartz or amethyst. Natural citrine is rare and are mostly a pale yellow colour, almost all heat treated citrine reddish tint. Deposits of naturally coloured citrine are found in Brazil, Madagascar, USA, Argentina, Africa and Australia.
